Practical Career Development Masterclasses & Support
(e.g. for Internal Mobility programmes)
Career Matters delivers training and support for individuals and groups to improve their prospects and advance their careers through one to one sessions or masterclasses (usually for up to 10 people). These are delivered in person, remote or hybrid and are tailored to your organisation and the individual(s) on the programme.
Sessions are adapted to any function and level of employee, including board level, and support internal mobility and programmes where staff are required to apply for positions elsewhere in the organisation.
Through one to one sessions or masterclasses, staff learn to identify, ‘position’ and ‘market’ their skills and strengths, match them to projects and roles and then market themselves for them. They are then supported in writing targeted CVs and LinkedIn profiles and in improving interview technique. In the process, we find that self-confidence grows as they begin to understand their value to the organisation and its purpose.
Won’t employees just use the courses to apply for roles elsewhere?
In our experience, employees attending our sessions and workshops feel more valued and supported by their organisation and are more likely to apply for new positions within. This in turn helps internal mobility, employee retention and succession to more senior roles, saving you time, money and headaches!

Some clients use these sessions to support their senior executives with applying for roles alongside an external retained search & selection campaign (headhunting) when they wish to show a rigorous application process for both internal and external applicants.
